Weekly Photo Challenge: Dialogue (Nature Repeats Itself)

Fractaldialogue

I struggled with this week’s theme: Dialogue.  I wanted to find a pair of photos that evoked a sense of the patterns that repeat throughout the natural world.

In the end I chose these two: one of the canopy of a pine in Washington, one of frost spreading across a sidewalk in Minnesota.  Both contain the same branching fractals, which emphasize not only the dialogue between the two, but also the patterns repeating within each individual photo.
